Please arrive between 8:45 and 9:15. Scout troops, youth organizations, etc. should assemble on the firehouse lawn (Maple Avenue side). All are welcome. FD, EMS, and other vehicles should line up on Maple Avenue and around the curve on Blackpoint Road. There is no preset order of march; units will line up in order of arrival.
Throwing candy, etc. to spectators is prohibited because of the danger associated with children darting into the street.
Please respect the solemnity of Memorial Day. No sirens unless you are leaving the parade route to respond to an emergency.
A brief ceremony will be held in front of the firehouse immediately following the parade.
If you wish to place a wreath (or flowers) during the ceremony, please let us know before the ceremony starts. For organizations having wreaths delivered to the firehouse prior to the parade, there will be a wreath staging area in front of the building.
The parade will step of from the firehouse at 9:30. Parade route is Maple Avenue to Elm Street to Pearl Street to Olive Street to Pleasant Run Road. Immediately following the parade there will be a brief ceremony in front of the firehouse.
Parking will be available in the NVFC Meadow by the Elm Street Bridge and on various side streets in the village. There is no parking on the streets making up the parade route.
